Speaking on Newsletters
This week I speak to the Carolina Professional Saleswomen and Entrepreneurs on a favorite topic: Newsletters and CAN-SPAM.
I plan to start with a primer on the scary compliance stuff and then discuss how professionals can build their newsletter subscription list (as well as subcriptions to blogs, ezines, etc) with a solid CONTENT strategy, including article marketing.
I’d appreciate any advance questions you think I should plan to address in my talk.
I’m also interested in any research on this topic, whether your own or someone else’s.

It was a pleasure to speak with you last time and I think these events need to be had. Out of 70ish people we had at least 3 people who didn’t listen and decided to add us, unsolicited, to their newsletters.
Show examples of good vs bad, showcase those bad boys you’ve been collecting.
If you have time a little Q&A session might be good, or if you are on your toes talk with people before the presentation and verbally build examples of things they might find useful to talk about in a newsletter. I don’t know how many people I come across that just don’t think they need a newsletter but what it really comes down to is they don’t know what they should be writing about.
