I think everyone will agree that the best way to build an email list is over time, attracting people who opt-in to your list. But not every company is afforded that scenario. 

Take a car company, for example. They want to do targeted emails but they haven&#039;t dedicated the time and effort in building their email opt-in list over time. One day they decide to do an email campaign focused on BMW drivers across America. Technically, if this company purchases an email list of BMW drivers across the country, it&#039;s a pretty focused list. It&#039;s not like some Viagra company sending every man in America emails every day. This would be a campaign where the list was targeted and the message was very relevant to the audience. Is this still considered &quot;spamming?&quot; At the least it&#039;s worth a discussion.
